Art Journal Journey.....The last of the Flowers

Some time ago I created a page stamping veggies.  Yup good old vegetables! Romaine lettuce and celery work the best. Its something I used to do when I taught elementary school.  I am sure the middle kids would love to do it too, but I am not sure how I can creatively make that a lesson!

I feel like I've been all over the place with making things. 

 Not really staying focused on one thing for to long.  But I actually think that helped me be distracted enough to decide on some painting that I would like to do.

This weeks challenge from Shulman Art Blog is alliterations.  The goal was to use only the first letter of your first name and find the words to describe you using that letter.
Sounds easy......not so much!

Ok so my painting only has three windows! I like things in three's......or maybe just poor planning! Either way I enjoyed making this, and thats what its about! Anyway there's a lot of differences but once you start sometimes you can't hold back!

Flower Power......Art Journal Journey

I was thrilled to see this challenge, creating flowers is very therapeutic for me!  This is a small book that I created, about flowers!
I made the book from a part of a cereal box and some mixed media paper.  It has a simple sew binding.  The pages are created by collage and "stamp" painted.  By this I mean I stamped out all of the flowers shapes with .... a tiolet paper tube.  Yup a good old tube!  Stamping the image out with cardboard is one of my favorite things to do.

Summer Art Challenge.....List.... Where did you go

 This weeks summer art challenge is Where did you go.  I was so excited when I saw this because we actually went some where! We just got back from a week in Maine. We had a great time, just the four of us, and off course Winston, our crazy dog.
